Grant Mussman is making a difference in Omaha.

I have a huge passion in helping young families, retirees and small businesses make wise financial decisions. Too often, we feel a need to ‘go it alone’ because we believe we should. My role is to represent State Farm to the customer and the customer to State Farm. It is a function you don’t get at a 1-800 number where a first phone call leads to a claim or complaint record, and where you could be just as easily talking to someone halfway across the world as on your own block. Some things require local specialization and we work to develop that everyday.

Briefly, my opinion of what it means to make wise financial decisions. Regardless of your faith background, I put stock in the wisdom of Pvbs 15:22 – “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.” My belief is that there is too much information (most good, some not) out there and that people are often paralyzed by that. I strive to partner with people to educate them about how the financial world works, and I intentionally seek out strong mutually beneficial referral partners to help clients where I cannot (accounting, law, really, high dollar financial advising, etc.). I take the time to listen to my clients and answer the questions they have in language they get.


Briefly, I want to state my opinion of the specific State Farm services that I can offer below:

Autos & Home – our bread and butter – I believe State Farm is as good as anyone (and often better), We are usually very cost competitive because of scale. And I believe that part of customer’s decision has have to be based on how you want to be treated and served on the day of a claim. I will stand by our people and processes and have seen many, many satisfied customers.

Specialties: Life insurance – I believe State Farm has a very strong set of products to offer here. I strive to get my customers in the right product for them. I feel that many times people are pushed and prodded into higher premium solutions than is often warranted. I simply do not choose that path.

Series 6 Licensed – registered as a limited representative and sell mutual funds, variable annuities and insurance premiums

I’ve worked with Grant on a non-insurance basis. I couldn’t be more impressed with his community efforts, relational skills and knowledge of insurance and financial planning. Great guy. Good neighbor.
